Briego Reserva represents the collective passion of three brothers committed to crafting outstanding wines in Ribera del Duero. Their journey began with the meticulous revival of ancient vineyards, culminating in their inaugural vintage in 1992. Over the years, their dedication has garnered accolades, firmly establishing them among the region's esteemed producers.

The 2016 vintage experienced a mild winter, leading to slight withering in the vineyards and an early start to spring, accelerating growth by approximately 10 days. A cool and dry summer facilitated optimal ripening, resulting in wines of remarkable color intensity, fruit concentration, and balanced tannins. This exceptional vintage promises longevity, ideal for aging.

Derived exclusively from Tempranillo grapes sourced from the La Nava vineyard, 'Adalid' undergoes fermentation at controlled temperatures before maturing for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Following bottling, the wine further matures in the bottle for 20 months, ensuring its readiness upon release.

In tasting, Briego Reserva reveals the pure essence of Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, offering ripe red and black cherry notes alongside dried fig and raisin. Subtle nuances of crushed violet petal, vanilla bean, and toasted coconut add complexity, while cedar spice, liquorice root, and tobacco leaf contribute depth. With its dry, full-bodied character and well-integrated tannins, this wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for over a decade, promising continued refinement and enjoyment with age.
