Spanish Pig is a Canadian retailer selling authentic Spanish food – from the best jamón and chorizo to top quality preserved seafood and pantry goods – our mission is to bring the finest Spanish products to Canadians. We have a store on 77 Roncesvalles Avenue, Toronto along with an easy online shopping experience. Whether you are from Spain or just love the country and its food, we hope that you will enjoy your shopping experience with the Spanish Pig. We import only the finest hams, sausages and high end preserves. Cook with our delicious chorizo, serve our Iberico ham at your next dinner party or simply enjoy our products with your family and friends. Que Aproveche!
Our History
The Spanish Pig originates from a life long passion for Spanish food. Founded by Jonathan Larrad, who grew up in Madrid and now resides in Toronto, The Spanish Pig aims to bring the food he loves to Canadians. The Larrad family’s love of food dates back to 1914 in Madrid. Don Adolfo Larrad, Jonathan’s great-grandfather, opened an establishment dedicated to selling “Coloniales” (food imported from old Spanish Colonial countries). The business then expanded into other grocery and bakery shops in central Madrid.
Just over a hundred years later The Spanish Pig began to bring Spanish delicacies to Canada.
